Description: From the Education Center, walk north (the park will be to your right). Take the right fork onto Seward Park Rd. Just after the entrance to a parking area, turn left onto Lost Lake Trail #3. At the next trail intersection, turn left onto Woodpecker Trail #6. At the T, turn right onto Andrews Bay Trail #2. At the next intersection, turn left onto Sqebeqsed Trail #5. At the next intersection, turn left onto Erratic Trail #7. (This trail has roots and logs.) At the end, turn left onto Huckleberry Trail #5. At the end, turn left onto Spine Trail #1, which descends to the perimeter road at the north end of the peninsula.
Turn right onto the perimeter road and walk to just past the former fish hatchery. Turn right onto Hatchery Trail #2. At the first intersection (which you visited earlier), turn left onto Spine Trail #1. Follow Spine Trail #1 until it meets Seward Park Road (paved). Turn right. When you reach an intersection across from the parking lot, make a hairpin turn to the left. Continue on the road. At the next intersection, turn right. This road takes you back down to the perimeter road. Turn right onto the perimeter road and follow it back to the Education Center. Drive to Starbucks for espresso.
