Description: Enter Ravenna park on a short trail. At the T, turn right and walk around to the far side of the softball field. At the information sign, stay right, then stay right at the next intersection. Now follow the trail along the floor of the ravine. You will pass under the 15th Ave. NE Bridge. Emerge from the park on Brooklyn Ave. NE.
Turn left onto Broolkyn Ave. NE and walk one block to NE Ravenna Blvd. (This point is the start of the Shorter Walk A.) Turn right and follow NE Ravenna Blvd. to East Green Lake Drive N. Cross East Green Lake Drive N and enter the park. Just past the swimming pool building, turn right onto the main trail, and walk almost all the way around the lake counterclockwise, until you see the swimming pool building to your left. Leave the main trail on a side trail that goes out to East Green Lake Way N. Cross East Green Lake Way N, turn left, and walk two blocks to Peet's Coffee, or continue to Starbuck's.
After espresso, continue east on East Green Lake Way N for two blocks. Take the curved street on you right to return to NE Ravenna Blvd. Follow NE Ravenna Blvd. to Brooklyn Ave. NE. Turn left, walk one block to NE 61st St., and turn right into the park. Return to the starting point by following the trail back to NE 55th St.
Shorter Walk A (4.7 miles): Start at the intersection of Brooklyn Ave. NE and NE Ravenna Blvd. Walk west on NE Ravenna Blvd., following the directions for the main walk.
Shorter Walk B (3 miles): Park near the Green Lake Small Craft Center (Aqua Theatre) on West Green Lake Way N. Walk clockwise around the lake until you pass the swimming pool building. Continue straight (red line on map) to East Green Lake Way N. Cross East Green Lake Way N, turn left, and walk two blocks to Peets. After expresso, return to the main trail, turn left, and follow the trail back to the Small Craft Center.
