Mill Creek Trails

Starting Point: Starbucks, 15517 Main Street, Mill Creek (Park in Central Market lot) Directions to Starting Point Destination: Mill Creek Nature Reserve Total distance: 4.8 miles Espresso Stop: Starbucks, 15517 Main Street, Mill Creek Terrain: Flat. Walking Time: Approx. 2 hours

Description: From Starbucks, cross Main Street, continue straight between two buildings, and enter the North Creek Trail. Shortly after the trail crosses 153rd St SE, it curves right and takes you out to Main Street. Turn left onto Main St, cross a bridge, and immediately turn left onto the continuation of the trail. Follow the trail until you see the main road ahead. (At this point there is a post, and the continuation of the trail to the left. Do NOT turn left.) Turn right onto the main road and continue until you come to the traffic signal at Bothell Everett Highway.

Cross Bothell Everett Highway and continue straight on Trillium Blvd SE until it ends at Mill Creek Blvd. Cross Mill Creek Blvd and turn right. Follow Mill Creek Blvd until you come to a small playground on your left. At the playground, turn left onto a trail into the woods; this is the entrance to the Mill Creek Nature Reserve. Follow the trail into the Reserve, staying left at forks (but do not take any left turns). You will come to a bridge over Mill Creek. Just across the bridge, you come to a T with a signpost. Turn right, and check the signpost to verify that you are walking in the direction of the Fish Ladder. After some distance, there is another sighpost; continue in the direction of the Fish Ladder. When you come to a T with a Fish Ladder sign, turn left in the direction of the Fish Ladder, and continue to follow the trail until it emerges onto Mill Creek Road at Bothell Everett Highway. Cross Bothell Everett Highway and continue straight on the sidewalk to the traffic signal at Mill Creek Blvd. Cross Mill Creek Blvd, turn right, and walk to the end of the parking lot on your left. Just after the parking lot, turn left onto the North Creek Trail (there will now be a pond on your right). Follow the trail until it takes you back to Main Street. Cross Main Street, turn left, and walk one block to Starbucks.

Directions to Starting Point:

From Bothell: Take SR-527 (NE Bothell Way, Bothell Everett Highway) northbound for 7 miles. At the traffic signal at Mill Creek Road, continue straight 0.4 miles to Mill Creek Blvd. Turn left onto Mill Creek Blvd, then right at the first traffic signal onto Main Street. Starbucks will be on your right, with the Central Market parking lot behind it.

Via Freeway: Take Exit 183 from I-5, and turn right onto 164th St. SE. Drive 1.6 miles, turn left onto Mill Creek Blvd (there are a traffic signal, a Union Bank, and a BECU at this intersection), then left at the first traffic signal onto Main Street. Starbucks will be on your right, with the Central Market parking lot behind it.

Shorter Walk (Visit Nature Reserve, omit North Creek Trail) - 3 Miles: From Starbucks, walk south on main street to Mill Creek Blvd. Turn left and walk one block to Bothell-Everett Highway. Cross the highway and follow Mill Creek Blvd. to the playground. Turn right and follow the main instructions through the Nature Reserve and back to Starbucks.
