Description: From the south end of the parking lot, cross Lake Washington Blvd and start up the hill on Arboretum Drive. Take the first left onto a trail, then follow park trails to the visitor center at the north end of the park. Cross Foster Island Drive and then follow the trail past Duck Pond out to Foster Island. Shortly before the trail ends, turn left onto the Arboretum Waterfront Trail and follow it across Marsh Island. At the end of the bridge to the mainland, turn right and continue to follow the Arboretum Waterfront Trail to the Montlake Bridge. Climb up the stairs to Montlake Blvd E and turn left onto E Shelby Street. E Shelby St curves right and becomes 24th Ave. E. Follow 24th Ave E over the bridge over the freeway until it ends. Turn left, walk to the end, then turn right onto 25th Ave E. Continue south on 25th Ave E to E Calhoun St, then turn left. At 26th Ave E, enter the park on a trail and follow the trail back to the parking lot.
