Populating your Clip Art FolderYou can put any .gif or .jpg file in your clip art folder. There are three ways to put files in your clip art folder: manually, when selecting clip art for an event, or by saving the clip art already present in your calendar. Adding Clip Art ManuallyYou can use Windows Explorer (or equivalent) to copy .gif or .jpg files to your clip art folder. CalendarGuru does not have to be open at the time. Adding Clip Art when SelectingWhen you are editing an event and select clip art for the event, one of the options you have is to browse your hard disk for the art you want. When you find what you want, one of the options you will be presented with is "OK and copy to my clip art folder". When you select this option, the clip art item will be attached to the event and also copied to your clip art folder. Saving the Clip Art in the CalendarIf you have received a calendar file from a friend, it may contain clip art not present elsewhere on your computer. You can copy all the clip art in the calendar to your clip art folder by selecting Tools → Update Clip Art Folder from Current Calendar on the menu bar. HintsWhile you can use any .gif or .jpg file as clip art, you should avoid very large files, as the result in very large calendar file sizes and slower processing. It is suggested that you use a picture-editing program to reduce the size of a large image. A size in the neighborhood of 200 x 200 works nicely. (Very small files may also be a problem; they may appear grainy when printed on a high-resolution printer.) See also: Managing Clip Art, Editing an Event, Selecting Clip Art |
